Are you an experienced payroll professional, looking for a new, challenging and varied Oxfordshire-based role?

We’re recruiting for a new Senior Payroll Co-ordinator vacancy, working for a large Banbury business.

The Role

The Senior Payroll Co-ordinator is an autonomous role, responsible for the accurate and timely payroll processing for multiple company sites, UK & abroad.

The role will require an experienced, methodical and proactive payroller, who thrives under pressure and working to deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurate and timely processing of all employee payroll
  • Answering internal payroll queries
  • Bonus & commission payments
  • Liaise with mangers and employees with regards to absence registration
  • Month end payroll reporting
  • Calculate deductions & verify gross net calculations
  • Reconcile payroll data changes into system
  • Co-ordinate group insurances and private medical admin
  • Pension admin
  • Co-ordinate vendor activities regarding P35
  • Process P11Ds – benefits and company cars, via Freedom
  • Complete PSAs, plus year end procedures for HMRC
  • Form 42 on company shares, into HMRC portal
  • Payroll auditing, addressing following actions
  • Process improvements
  • Calculating Holiday and related admin
  • Submit CIS returns to HMRC
  • HR admin support during busy periods
  • Monitor legislation changes and alter processes accordingly

Skills & Experience

  • Approximately 4 years’ experience within Payroll
  • Experience of pension auto-enrollment
  • Working knowledge of HMRC portal, ADP Freedom & Streamline
  • Experience of Nordic or overseas payroll desirable but not essential
  • Cool under pressure, as well as working to tight deadlines
  • Highly analytical approach
  • Fully comfortable working and gathering data, plus preparing and verifying payroll calculations
  • High level of error-free accuracy & meticulous attention to detail essential
  • Confident communicator – able to flag up issues, as well as explaining changes and payslip queries to employees
  • Fantastic problem solver and process improvement
