Are you an experience Analyst, with knowledge of the local authority, waste & recycling sector?

We’re recruiting for a Senior Analyst, working for a high profile, non-for profit organisation, based in Banbury.

The Role

The purpose of the Senior Analyst will be to lead on providing in-depth analytical, research and evidence gathering, for a range of key policies and programmes.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Planning & design of analyses for delivery teams and external funders – supporting and influencing policy decisions
  • Commission, take lead and project manage external contractor work on research, evidence gathering and evaluation projects
  • Carry out suitable and accurate analysis – interpreting data and presenting results and evidence in a clear manner
  • Interpret results of research and evidence gathering – both verbal & written, internal & external
  • Updating database, models and tools
  • Lead on research project quality assurance
  • Deliver advice on research methods and data interpretation for delivery teams
  • Identify areas for further research and evidence gathering

Skills & Experience

  • Waste & recycling sector knowledge essential (local authority) – eg. waste resource management, efficiency, behaviour change etc
  • Analytical skills – confident in interpreting data, picking out trends and summarising results
  • Theoretical / applied knowledge of research, evidence gathering and evaluation
  • Strong research-based skills and experience
  • Influential communicator
  • Planning and organisation
  • Excellent report writing skills, providing credible insights, in order to influence decision-making
  • Microsoft Office skills
  • Project management
  • Working knowledge of SPSS desirable
  • Experience of managing staff desirable

Other Information

35 hours per week – Monday – Friday; 09:00am – 17:00pm, with flexitime working.
