People and Development Manager – Luxury Hospitality Background A Must!!

We’re seeking an ambitious and driven People & Development Manager, to represent and manage the business function for our exclusive VIP client, located in a lovely Oxfordshire / Cotswolds location!

You will be responsible for all People & Development, in line with Company standards ensuring being complaint with all UK requirements for the site(s).

Main Duties:

  • To direct, support and coach the on-property teams to continually improve the effectiveness of the People & Development function
  • To work closely with on property General Manager and Head of Departments providing support where necessary
  • To interpret and advise on employment law when required
  • To deal with grievances and implement disciplinary procedures
  • To support the recruitment function by attending the weekly meeting and providing guidance and assistance where possible.
  • To develop and implement initiatives together with the People & Development UK Director to support the following People & Development strategies

Responsibilities:

  • To ensure all People & Development administration is 100% compliant with statutory requirements by ensuring monthly audits.
  • To ensure all new starts receive “Welcome to the Family”, Leavers receive an Exit Interview and feedback is shared on a monthly basis with Head of Departments
  • To ensure monthly Roundtables take place across all regional sites
  • To be responsible for auditing and maintaining the back of house areas and family meals ensuring these are to a high standard
  • To ensure all sites have a calendar of employee events and initiatives in place to recognise and reward employees in addition to those offered by the Company (Long Service awards, House Hero and Employee Member events)
  • To ensure noticeboards are up to date and engaging
  • To ensure all employees receive Site Induction and onboarding
  • To ensure all employees receive a 90-day Coffee Chat and thereafter on a regular basis including an annual performance review.
  • To drive attendance for Learning & Development
  • To support event initiatives for the sites and UK
  • To administer Maternity and Paternity Leave administration and coordination with payroll
  • To review monthly average hours/shifts worked a month and feedback to the sites
  • To promote the company as an employer of choice and create greater brand awareness by participating in industry events and awards
