Our story....

We set out with different priorities to those usually associated with the setting up of a new business: our families. We were both extremely successful in our own recruitment careers, and with 20 years of combined experience in the Banbury area, we felt that after our maternity leave had ended that we wanted to set up our own business so that we could do recruitment in the way that we wanted to and fit our careers around our young families.

To begin with we didn’t even have offices, just a mobile phone and laptop each, days at work consisted of juggling kids, working around dining room tables and interviewing in hired meeting rooms. (We even started our initial business plan whilst at a local playcentre!)

Our mission was to breathe some fresh air into the Banbury and Oxfordshire recruitment market by adding a personalised service. Promising job seekers and clients that they wouldn’t be just another number on a sales call target list, or a blank name on a requisite number of CV’s. We set out with the aim of building long-term partnerships with our clients and candidates, and the testimonials and comments that we regularly receive prove that so far we have achieved this, often being recommended by both candidates and clients alike.

We now employ 2 other Recruitment Consultants who are also Mums of young children that work part time school hours to suit their families as well as the business. This unusual business model works really well for the business, our staff and most importantly our clients who we find are increasingly working evenings and weekends and really appreciate being able to deal recruitment matters outside of their busy days, on the flip side of this it means that we are able to attend those all important parents evenings and nativity plays!

Our enthusiasm and commitment, to everyone we deal with, has seen our business flourish. Our turnover has tripled in the last 12 months and our client base is made up of a mixture of established, and new, clients and candidates. We focus on developing relationships and this means that we have a great success rate of placing the right people in the right jobs. . Our determination and practical approach to our business we hope is an inspiration to both women, and business people generally; in what can be achieved by challenging the traditional business model.
