We’re looking for a commercially aware and data driven candidate for a new Category Insight Manager, working for a large Midlands-based supplier & distributor.

The Role

The Category Insight Manager will work closely with Suppliers, Customers and internal Sales Commercial / teams, in order to provide vital category insights, analysing the market, customer trends, in order to maximise business opportunities moving forward.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop an excellent understanding of market and category understanding
  • In-depth and detailed understanding of suppliers and customers in order to develop successful strategy (ie. contacts, product portfolios, shopper profiles, strategies, pricing & promosions, category size, USPs, competitives)
  • Update category team data
  • Regularly update company planogram software
  • Present category insights, to both key internal and external stakeholders
  • Data analysis of shopper, market trend and EPOS sales data
  • Produce and distribute category aids to sales team & customers
  • Oversee and mentor Category Insight Analyst
