We’re currently recruiting for a highly motivated, qualified Bookkeeper for a new role within a well-established Accountancy and business advisory firm.

The Role

The Bookkeeper will be responsible for a range of service-related bookkeeping tasks and processes for the business client portfolio

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Desktop Bookkeeping & Ledger maintenance, speaking with client where needed to obtain relevant information
  • Help clients with bookkeeping queries and software advice
  • Preparing bank Reconciliations & Client VAT returns
  • Preparing paperwork for clients & HMRC
  • Communicating with partners, to raise further points with clients
  • Assist clients with any software or bookkeeping queries

Skills & Experience

  • AAT qualified or equivalent qualification
  • Upwards of 4 years bookkeeping experience
  • Good all-round business acumen
  • Proficient IT user – MS Office, Sage & Xero all highly desirable
  • Assertive communicator and good telephone manner
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Highly analytical approach
  • Calm, logical decision maker
  • Well organised under pressure, able to prioritise effectively
  • Deadline-driven

  • 37.5 working hours per week
